Healthcare Ethics, Analytics and Law (Counter Fraud Studies), [HEAL] Graduate Certificate

The Health Ethics, Analytics and Law Certificate course requires a minimum of 12 credit hours, all of which must be completed at Roosevelt University.  This certificate is designed for those students seeking a career in the Counter Healthcare Fraud industry.  There are two 8 week courses (HIN 465 and HEAL 460) and two 16 week courses (HIN 470 and HIN 495).  HEAL 460 is only offered in the Spring Semester, so it is recommended that students take HIN 470 and HIN 465 in the Fall and HIN 495 and HEAL 460 in the Spring semesters.  Advisors will work to accommodate student needs.  No more than two grades of C (not C-) may be applied toward the 12 hours used for the degree. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. A graduate course can only be repeated once; no more than two courses can be repeated.

Health Informatics students may earn a Certificate in Healthcare Fraud, Waste and Abuse detection and investigation (called the HEAL Certificate) by completing one additional 3 semester hour course (HEAL 460 Crime and Law) and HIN 470, HIN 465 and HIN 495.
